We are avid supporters of Little RES Q, an Ontario CRA-registered charity who has championed Red Eared Sliders for almost 20 years.

They’re working on a turtle sanctuary called Audrey’s Legacy. It’s like the ultimate solutions for Ontario’s Red Eared Slider populations – the turtles can live their best lives in a fully-stocked exclusive retirement facility.

Why do Red Eared Sliders need a turtle sanctuary?

They bully the native turtles out of food, spaces to bask, and nesting spots; this is a large part of why Ontario’s native turtle populations are dwindling.

We need to take them out of the population in a humane way – so Little RES Q is building them their own space where they can live their best lives without devastating the endemic turtle populations of Ontario.
